Updated 4/28/08 2007 SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS INDIANA GARDEN CLUB IGC Awards 3 Julia Pound Scholarships

From left:  Michael Miller, Anthony Miller & Shaun Hicks The Indiana Garden Club approved an exception for these gentlemen to receive $650 scholarships from the Julia Pound  Scholarship Fund (standard is $ 500). They are all students at Penn State.

The Indiana Garden Club established the scholarships to honor the late Julia Pound, a long-time member of the club who served as president of the Garden Club 1947-1949.  They are available to graduates of Indiana County high schools for post-high secondary studies in ecology, horticulture, landscape design, landscape architecture, conservation, botany, forestry, agriculture or earth sciences. Applications are available from the guidance counselors of all the county high schools.
